IPL 2022: Dhoni was better in IPL 2022 than last year, says Ravi Shastri

Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has heaped praise on MS Dhoni after the Chennai Super Kings skipper made an announcement that he will participate in the next year's IPL.

Earlier, Dhoni had confirmed at the toss of the match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings that he will participate in IPL 2023.

In a chat with ESPNCricinfo, Shastri said that Dhoni is one of the best leaders, the country has ever produced and the announcement must be heartening for the CSK fans more than anything else.

Cricketer-turned-commentator further said that Dhoni was definitely better than last year and has enjoyed his cricket this season.

Notably, MS Dhoni has scored 232 runs in 14 matches in IPL 2022 as compared to his last year's performance when he had scored just 214 runs in 16 matches.
