After suffering 2 losses back to back, a first in their brilliant history at the Indian Premier League, Chennai Super Kings are dearly missing their most expensive purchase, Deepak Chahar.

The all-rounder who is currently nursing a quadriceps tear at NCA, Bengaluru will reportedly join the Ravindra Jadeja-led side by the end of April. Chahar who has started his net practice is expected to participate against Punjab Kings on April 25th.

Chennai is otherwise also reeling under fitness issues. In the absence of their frontline pacers, Adam Milne and Chris Jordan, CSK was forced to choose inexperienced speedsters Mukesh Choudhary and Tushar Deshpande against Lucknow Super Giants which did them no good. While Milne suffered an injury against KKR, Jordan is admitted to the hospital with a severe tonsil infection for at least 6 days.

Chennai suffered 2 consecutive losses in IPL 2022, first against KKR and then against Lucknow Super Giants. The defending champions will now face Punjab Kings in their 3rd match.
