IPL 2022: BCCI felicitate Neeraj Chopra and other Tokyo 2020 winners

Before the first match of the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League began, the board of Control for Cricket in India felicitated the Tokyo 2020 Olympic winners.

Gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, Lovlina Borgohain, the Indian men's hockey team were rewarded by the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah at Wankhede Stadium. Chopra who won the first gold medal for the nation in the Athletics category was given a cash reward worth 1 crore for his record-breaking performance at the quadrennial event. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu and wrestler Ravi Kumar Dhaiya who got a silver medal have been given 50 lakh each.
