Mumbai Indians suffered their second straight loss in IPL 2022 after a 23-run defeat against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. However, the team has found a rising star in the form of N Tilak Varma. Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri heaped praise on Tilak Varma.19-year old Tilak scored an impressive 61 off 33 balls before being dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin.

While speaking with ESPNCricinfo, Shastri said, "I like his temperament very much. He wasn't scared of the big names."
Shastri felt that Tilak is calm and has all kinds of shots. Shastri further said that the innings he has played against Rajasthan Royals will benefit him in the long run and it will give strength and stability in the middle order of Mumbai Indians.
