Chennai Super Kings' all-rounder Deepak Chahar and Lucknow Super Giants' pacer Mayank Yadav may not feature in rest of this season of the IPL, a report in Cricbuzz claimed on Friday.

"Deepak's injury is not looking good. I will not say he is ruled out of the season but doubtful," CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said. Chahar, who pulled his hamstring, managed only two deliveries before walking off during CSK's game against Punjab Kings at the Chepauk.

The Chennai side will play PBKS, again, in their next game in Dharamsala on Sunday but Viswanathan confirmed that "He has stayed back in Chennai. We're waiting for a report from the medical team."

After the last game on Wednesday, coach Stephen Fleming had said that the situation with Chahar is not good. "Deepak Chahar doesn't look good. (The) initial feeling wasn't great, so I'm hoping for a more positive report when the physio and doc have a look," the New Zealander had said on Wednesday.

Apart from Deepak, pace sensation Mayank Yadav may also be ruled out of the rest of the matches. The report in Cricbuzz further claimed that the side strain that put him out of action for a few games has resurfaced.

Mayank made a comeback against the Mumbai Indians in LSG's game on April 30 but walked off the field after bowling 3.1 overs.
