Mark Wood, who started off IPL 2023 with a 5-wicket-haul for the Lucknow Super Giants, will miss final stages of the season.

The English fast bowler will fly back home to be with his wife Sarah and will attend the birth of his daughter in late May.

Wood has taken 11 wickets in 4 games so far but missed last 2 games for LSG due to illness.

LSG had acquired Mark Wood for ₹7.5 crore at the mega auction but he missed the entire last season of the cash-rich league due to injury.
