Workers of Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navanirman Sena attacked and vandalised a bus that was being used in the Indian Premier League 2022 on Tuesday night. The vandalised vehicle was to be used as a team bus by Delhi Capitals.

The attack was carried out by Maharashtra Vahatuk Sena - transport wing of MNS - for allegedly ignoring local bus traders. Reports said that the MNS workers were irked as the contract to pick-up and drop IPL players were not given to a local trader.

ANI reported that an FIR has been registered against 5-6 unknown persons.

The IPL is set to begin from the last week of March. All the matches of IPL 2022 will be played at three stadiums in Mumbai and one stadium in Pune. Thus, the teams would be travelling extensively via buses during the tournament.
