New Zealand cricket team took some time off of their busy schedule and met His Holiness the Dalai Lama in McLeodganj.

The Kiwis visited the spiritual leader's residence after their loss against hosts India in ODI World Cup 2023 match on Sunday.

Dalai Lama spent around an hour interacting with players and shared notes. The Blackcaps sought his blessings and took pictures with him as well.

New Zealand will next take on Australia at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium in Dharamsala in on October 28.

Recently, the Dalai Lama had to cancel his trip to Sikkim and Karnataka in November-December on the advice of doctors following a recent bout of flu.

The Dalai Lama has lived in exile in India since fleeing Tibet during a failed uprising in 1959.
