It was relief for the Australian cricket team as they got their first win in the ODI World Cup by defeating Sri Lanka by 5 wickets in Lucknow on October 16.

Winning the game with 88 balls to spare gave a boost to their run rate as well and saw them go from 9th to 8th spot in the points table.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka are still winless in the World Cup with 3 losses in as many games.

Team India are level with New Zealand on 6 points and sit on top of the table with 3 wins in 3.

South Africa and Pakistan are on 3rd and 4th place with 4 points respectively. The Proteas also have a game in hand and can go top of the table with a win against Netherlands on October 17..
