India climbed two spots to take the second position on the points table after a 8-wicket victory over Afghanistan in their second World Cup match in Delhi on October 11. 

Table-toppers New Zealand have 4 points from two wins while India too have 4 points from 2 wins and positive net run-rate of 1.500. 

After their second defeat, Afghanistan were relegated to the bottom of the table with 0 points and a negative net run-rate -1.907.
