Following the intense 11th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 between New Zealand and Bangladesh, the points table has seen the return of the Kane Williamson led side to the top-spot. New Zealand clinched the top position after replacing South Africa.

The Kiwis displayed a stellar performance against Bangladesh, handing them an 8-wicket defeat in Chennai.  Their 3rd consecutive win has now earned them an impressive six points and a commendable net run rate of +1.604.

In contrast, Bangladesh, after their defeat, saw their net run rate take a hit. The Bangla Tigers who have just won 1 match till now, find themselves in a challenging sixth place in the points table with two points from three matches and a net run rate of -0.699.

South Africa, who had briefly held the top spot, have slipped to the second position with two wins in two matches and a net run rate of +2.360. Their hopes of reclaiming the pinnacle remain undeterred.

As anticipation builds for the much-awaited clash between Team India and Pakistan on October 14, both teams find themselves in the thick of the competition. Team India currently holds the third position in the points table, notching up two wins in two matches and a net run rate of +1.500. On the other hand, arch-rivals Pakistan, also with four points, trail behind India in fourth place due to their inferior net run rate.
