With their huge 160-run win over a feeble Netherlands, England who are already out of contention for the trophy have taken a huge leap in the points table.

Languishing at the last spot with just 1 win from 7 games, Jos Buttler's men made a direct jump to the 7th spot. While this is only their 2nd win, the difference in net run rate landed them just below Afghanistan with 4 points in 8 matches. Their net run rate is at -0.885. 

On the other hand, after the hammering, the Netherlands team suffered a huge loss as they slipped to the last place in the points table.

They have have 2 wins and 4 points in 8 matches but their net run rate is the worst at -1.635.

Earlier, the Netherlands team was at number 9 in the points table.

With only wins in their purse, Team India is at number 1 with 16 points in 8 matches. South Africa team, on the other hand, is in second position with a total of 12 points with 6 wins in 8 matches, and their net run rate is at +1.376.

After India and South Africa, Australia and New Zealand are placed in the 3rd and 4th spots respectively. Australian team who have a net run rate of +0.861 boast of 6 wins and 12 points in 8 matches. At the same time, with 4 wins in 8 matches, the New Zealand team's net run rate is +0.398 and it is in fourth place in the points table.

India, South Africa and Australia have already qualified for the Semifinal of the marquee tournament. The fight is for the 4th spot between New Zealand and Pakistan who have the same wins but the Kiwis are a place ahead of Babar Azam's team due to their superb net run rate. Both team's chances of qualifying in the semis depend on their final group matches.
