Abdullah Shafique slams ton vs Sri Lanka, first Pakistan player to score hundred on World Cup debut

Abdullah Shafique - the 23-year-old who's made history for Pakistan. The opener entered record books with his magnificent hundred against Sri Lanka in the ODI World Cup. 

The youngster became the first Pakistani ever to score a century on World Cup debut, he also became the first player from Pakistan to score a World Cup hundred in India.

Shafique, who replaced Fakhar Zaman in the playing XI, made the most of his opportunity with a cracking ton, an innings laced with 10 fours and 3 sixes.

At 37/2, Pakistan were in a spot of bother in the run-chase of 345, but his 176-run partnership with Mohd Rizwan bailed the Men in Green out of trouble.
