Football fans marched across Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge on June 25, celebrating 25 days until the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 gets underway in Australia and New Zealand.

FIFA recently reached a deal to increase the pay of participants in the competition with players receiving $30,000 US dollars each at a minimum during the tournament.

Reacting to that, Head of FIFA Women’s World Cup, Rhiannon Martin said that, 'For the first time having a significant amount of money set aside for each of the players who are participating is massive.'
