Mohammed Kudus paid tribute to fellow Ghanaian, Christian Atsu, after he scored late in Ajax's 4-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie on Sunday.

Kudus, who was a part of Ghana's senior squad in 2019 at the same time as Atsu, scored from a free kick in the 84th minute of the match and then ran to the sideline and lifted his Ajax shirt to reveal another white shirt underneath with RIP Atsu written on it.

Atsu had been missing since the immediate aftermath of the Turkey earthquake and although it was initially thought he had survived the quake, his agent revealed this week he had perished in a building he was living in, in Antakya.
