Manchester City took complete hold of their quarterfinal tie against Bayern Munich as the Citizens registered a spectacular 3-0 first-leg win at the Etihad stadium.

Pep Guardiola's men who are vying for their first title shone throughout the game with Rodri providing the hosts the lead in the 27th minute with a curling shot before Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland each found the net in the 70 and 76th minutes.

For Haaland-- this was his 45th goal for City in 39 games--- a record for any EPL player across competitions.

Meanwhile, Nicolo Barella's 51st-minute goal and Romelu Lukaku's 82nd-minute penalty gave Inter Milan a 2-0 lead in the first leg of the quarterfinal tie against Benfica.
