Saudi Arabia to host FIFA Club World Cup 2023; 32-team event from 2025 edition

FIFA announced on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia will host the 2023 Club World Cup. 

FIFA also decided to expand Club World Cup from 24 to 32 teams with the first such edition scheduled to take place in June-July 2025. 

In a statement, FIFA said that the decision was taken based on a set of objective metrics and criteria. 

According to the new allocations the host nation will have one slot with UEFA having most 12.
