Manchester City continued its dominant run in the Premier League as they snatched a dramatic 2-1 win against Arsenal on Saturday night. With that City further consolidated its lead at the top of the table.

Bukayo Saka put Arsenal ahead as The Gunners were the better side in the first half. Riyad Mahrez then equalised in the 57th minute as he made no mistake and converted from the spot. It seemed that the 2 teams will share a point each before Rodri snatched a dramatic win with a stoppage-time winner.

No team has failed to win the Premier League title when beginning the new year with a lead as big as City's.
