Crystal Palace have sacked their manager Patrick Vieira after a winless run of 11 games in the Premier League following the side's 1-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Former Arsenal skipper Patrick Vieira had joined the club 20 months ago and will be leaving the side after Palace's poor run consisting of five draws and six defeats.
“It is with enormous regret that this difficult decision has been made,” Palace Chairman Steve Parish said.
“Results in recent months have placed us in a precarious league position and we felt a change is necessary to give us the best chance of retaining Premier League status.” he added.
With 12th placed Palace facing league leaders Arsenal on Sunday, they are still looking for their first win in 2023 while sitting just 3 points above the relegation zone.
