Spain is through to the final four of the UEFA Nations League after Spanish striker Alvaro Morata scored an 88th-minute winner to help his side beat Portugal 1-0 on Tuesday.

Portugal needed a draw out of the match to qualify but was eventually knocked out of the tournament. The final four of the Nations League are now set with Croatia, Italy, Netherlands and Spain in what will be an enthralling knockout stage ahead.

Portugal had chances to go ahead in the game and was the better side for the majority of the game. However, forwards Diogo Jota and Cristiano Ronaldo couldn't manage to convert the chances at hand.

The Portuguese would be disappointed after not making it to the knockout stages having won the inaugural edition in 2018-19.
