After a remarkable 12-year stint at Liverpool, Jordan Henderson officially announced his departure from the Merseyside club, hinting at an imminent move to Saudi Arabia.

The 33-year-old midfielder is reportedly on the verge of joining Al-Ettifaq, with Liverpool agreeing to a transfer deal valued at $15.5 million for their former Premier League and Champions League-winning captain.

Taking to his Instagram account, Henderson shared a heartfelt farewell video with the fans, expressing that being named the captain of Liverpool Football Club was one of the greatest honours of his life.

During his tenure at Liverpool, Henderson achieved every major club honour, including the Champions League title in 2019 and the Premier League title the following year. The latter ended Liverpool's 30-year-long wait to reclaim the English title.

Should the move to Al-Ettifaq materialize, Henderson will have the opportunity to reunite with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who recently assumed the role of manager for the Saudi Pro League team.
