I-League suspended for at least six weeks amid rising Covid-19 cases inside bio-bubble

After the emergence of fresh Covid-19 cases inside the bio-bubble, the All India Football Federation has suspended the I-League for at least six weeks.

According to media reports, Covid-19 cases inside the bubble surged to 45 which prompted the AIFF to suspend the league for six weeks. Now the I-league officials will take the stock of the situation in the first week of February before taking any further course of action.

Earlier, the league was suspended for a week after eight players and three officials had tested positive for Covid on Wednesday.
