Gareth Bale has publicly turned down an "offer" from Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who have been trying to tempt the Welsh winger out of retirement.
Following Wrexham's recent promotion to League Two, the celebrity owners set their sights on Bale, with McElhenney publicly extending an offer to discuss a single season with the club, over a round of golf.
Bale raised the hopes of Wrexham fans by responding to the social media post by saying it "depends what course".
