France's World Cup winner Blaise Matuidi announces retirement

French World Cup-winning footballer Blaise Matuidi has announced his retirement from football at 35.

The midfielder who played for Juventus & PSG won the World Cup with France in 2018. He made his 84th and last appearance for Les Blues three years ago.

In a heartwarming note on Twitter, Matuidi expressed his love for the sport and wrote, 'It's with a lump in my throat that I'm turning the page now'

He won four French league titles with PSG and 3 in Italy with Juventus. He also played at Inter Miami before finding no takers this year.
