United States sports reporter Grant Wahl who was recently detained for wearing a rainbow shirt at the FIFA World Cup has died while covering Argentina vs Netherlands quarterfinal game, the US Football federation and his wife Celine Gounder confirmed.
48-year-old collapsed suddenly in the media tribune during the quarterfinal game. As per Wall Street Journal, the journalist suffered a heart attack.
Wahl, on November 21, was detained in Qatar after he wore a rainbow shirt during the match between the US and Wales.
