FIFA World Cup 2022- Portugal's Nuno Mendes ruled out with injury; Ben White leaves England squad

Portugal's left-back Nuno Mendes has reportedly been ruled out of the onging FIFA World Cup 2022. The PSG star who had suffered a thigh injury during Portugal's 2nd group game win over Uruguay will likely remain out until January 2023. 

The 20-year-old, however, as per reports will remain with his team in Qatar until the end of this year's quadrennial event. His league team, Paris Saint Germain's medical staff is expected to visit him in Qatar. 

Meanwhile, England's Ben White has left his team in Qatar to return home for personal reasons. The Three Lions in a statement further informed that the Arsenal player is not expected to return for the remaining tournament
