Brazilian talisman Neymar Jr. has said that he was psychologically destroyed after his team's quarter-final defeat against Croatia in the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The 30-year-old expressed his grief in his social media post saying “I am psychologically destroyed. It is definitely the defeat that has hurt me the most, which left me paralysed for ten minutes after the match, after which I burst into tears without being able to stop. It is going to hurt for a very long time, unfortunately,”

Neymar's brilliant team goal against Croatia brought him level with the legendary Pele on 77 goals for Brazil. However, Croatia's equaliser, later on, meant that the game had to be decided through penalties which was eventually won by the Kockasti.

With doubts over his international career looming around, Neymar was quick to deny the claims and said that the 30-year-old will probably feature for the Selecao again.
