Star France midfielder Paul Pogba has been ruled out of the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar due to a knee injury.

Pogba's agent said in a statement that after the latest medical examinations, it is understood that Pogba needs more time for rehabilitation.

This comes as a major setback for France's world cup preparations after N'Golo Kante was already ruled out of the marquee event in Qatar, which starts on November 20.

Notably, the French striker hasn't played since returning to Juventus from Manchester United.

France will begin their campaign on November 23 against Australia.
