FIFA World Cup 2022: Enner Valencia's record goal saves the day as Ecuador draw 1-1 vs Netherlands

Enner Valencia came to Ecuador's rescue and helped his side draw 1-1 vs Netherlands in Group A encounter of the FIFA World Cup 2022. 

The game started off with the Netherlands leading the charge as Cody Gakpo put his side ahead in just the 6th minute, which is the quickest goal so far in Qatar.

However, Valencia equalised soon after first half, which was his record sixth successive goal and 3rd of this World Cup. However, his night soon turned dark as the former West Ham and Everton striker went down in the final minute and was taken off on a stretcher.

Group A is wide open with Ecuador at the 2nd spot with with 4 points, while the Dutch take the top spot with as many points but a better goal difference.
