FA Cup: Chelsea hand Chesterfield a thumping 5-1 defeat at home

Chelsea on Saturday outclassed the national league side Chesterfield and handed them an embarrassing 5-1 defeat at the Stamford Bridge to advance in the FA Cup 4th round.

It rained goals as the Blues dominated the first half of the game. While Timo Werner scored the first goal of the game in the 6th minute itself, Callum Hudson Odoi, Romelu Lukaku, Andreas Christensen scored in the 18th, 20th, and 39th minute respectively.

Cruising in a comfortable position already, Hakim Ziyech's 55th-minute goal from the penalty spot made it an unassailable 5-0 lead for Thomas Tuchel's men.

Akwasi Asante scored a consolation for the depleted Chesterfield in the 80th minute of the game. 

This was the 10th unbeaten result for the Blues across competitions who are sitting at the 2nd spot in the Premier League table.
