Belgium defender Toby Alderweireld retires from international football

Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld has announced his retirement from international football.

The 34-year-old was part of the 'golden generation' of Belgium which finished 3rd at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and is currently playing for Belgian club Antwerp.

The former Ajax, Atletico Madrid, and Tottenham defender has 127 caps for Belgium and has represented his nation in 3 World Cups and 2 European Championships.
