Argentina extend World Cup-winning coach Lionel Scaloni's contract till 2026

Argentina's World Cup-winning coach Lionel Scaloni has been rewarded with a contract extension till 2026.

44-year-old Scaloni took charge of the senior squad in 2018 following spells as an assistant coach and manager of the Under-20 side.

Under Scaloni, Argentina won the Copa America 2021 in Brazil, the Finalissima in London, and finally the World Cup itself in Qatar last year.
