Indian Judoka Shushila Devi narrowly missed out on Gold in women's 48-kg category.

Shushila had to settle for silver with South Africa's Michaela Whitebooi winning the contest through Waza-Ari.

Shushila, who had won Silver at the Glasgow Games back in 2014 as well, put up a tough fight but couldn't quite go the distance.

The Judoka from Manipur had earlier defeated one of the favourites in Mauritius' Priscilla Morand, but it just wasn't meant to be for the 27-year-old in the final.

There was another medal in store for India in Judo with Vijay Kumar Yadav also winning bronze in the Men's 60 kg category. While Vijay won his match, there was disappointment for Jasleen Singh Saini & Suchika Taryal, who lost their bronze medal matches later on.
