Women's Asia Cup 2022: India beat Thailand by 74 runs to reach final

The Indian Women's cricket team have booked their place in the 2022 Asia Cup final as the expense of Thailand, who they beat by 74 runs in their semi-final encounter in Sylhet.

Opener Shafali Verma (42 off 28) and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (36 off 30) helped India put up a healthy total of 148 runs in the first innings.

Having beaten the same opposition in their last league match, Indian bowlers rose to the occasion once again and kept Thailand down to just 74 runs at the loss of 9 wickets. Deepti Sharma starred in the 2nd innings with a brilliant bowling spell of 3/7.

India will face the winner of the 2nd semi-final between Sri Lanka and Pakistan on October 15.
