No cricketer in the history of T20 internationals had ever taken 7 wickets in a single game until Malaysian medium seamer Syazrul Idrus did that on Wednesday.

His figures of 7 wickets for just 8 runs is the new world record in men's T20Is.

He achieved the feat against China during the opening match of the T20 World Cup Asia B Qualifiers. Malaysia bowled out China for a mere 23 and won the match in 4.5 overs.
