Chess World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen is winning hearts on social media after a video of his endearing gesture goes viral.

As soon as the Indian prodigy R Praggnanadha won his FIDE World Cup game to enter last 16, Norwegian Chess Grand Master Magnus Carlsen got up in between his game to have a small chat with him. The live stream of the World Cup has since gone viral where Carlsen can be seen smiling and patting the 18-year-old's back.  Both the chess champions are teammates in the Global Chess League, Alpine Warriors Team and are known to have developed a great rapport.

Young Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa had won both rapid games to eliminate second-seeded Hikaru Nakamura to enter the last 16 of the FIDE World Cup chess tournament.
