Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 24 runs at the Under-19 World Cup on Thursday to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Abdul Faseeh top-scored for the boys in green and helped Pakistan end with 239-9 in their 50 overs. Chasing a gettable target of 240, Afghanistan were restricted to 215-9 despite the best efforts of opener Bilal Sayedi who made 42.
Pakistan faces Papua New Guinea on Saturday in their final group match. Afghanistan on the other hand can still go through to the last eight if they beat Zimbabwe.
