Venkatesh Iyer has been the find of IPL 2021 and with Hardik Pandya not able to contribute with both bat and ball, the Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Iyer believes that he can do the finishers job for India.

In an interview with the news daily Times of India, Iyer said that batting in the middle-order is not new territory for him and he would play the role of a finisher in India's ODI series in South Africa.

The 25-year old Iyer also said he is prepared to make a mark on the bouncy pitches of South Africa given he had played on a variety of wickets in domestic cricket.

The South Africa tour will be Iyer's first international series outside India after making its debut in the T20I series against New Zealand in November last year.
