Team India may not have won the 2019 World Cup but the Men In Blue certainly proved to be one of the most ruthless sides of the tournament. And one man who made it possible was Rohit Sharma.

The Hitman etched his name in the history books on July 6, 2019, when he smashed his 5th hundred of the tournament. With a 103 vs Sri Lanka, Rohit became the first batter in the history of cricket to hit 5 hundreds in a single edition of the ODI World Cup.

Before that game, Rohit had reached the three-figure mark against South Africa, Pakistan, England and Bangladesh. The record was previously held by Kumar Sangakkara, who scored 4 hundreds in the 2015 ODI World Cup.
