India's final opportunity to test its T20 World Cup squad went down the drain as the second warm-up match vs New Zealand was washed out without a ball being bowled.

Pakistan's practice match vs Afghanistan at the same ground was also abandoned mid-way earlier in the day as constant rain never let the covers come off once it started to pour down at the Gabba.

Rohit Sharma's men won the first warm-up match vs Australia and will open its T20 World Cup campaign vs arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23. Sadly, the weather forecast in Melbourne also doesn't look promising.
