T20 World Cup 2022, India vs South Africa: Deepak Hooda's selection in Team India's playing XI for the game vs South Africa in T20 World Cup 2022 raised many eyebrows and Gautam Gambhir was quick to question the decision.
Gambhir, who is also the mentor at Lucknow Super Giants in IPL, the team from which Hooda plays, was left surprised. "Why would you want to go with a batter when something is working for you," he questioned during Star Sports pre match show.
Gauti was also not sure where would he fit in the playing XI. Interestingly, Hooda had to walk out a lot early than than he would have expect to. As the top order collapsed, Deepak batted at the number 5 and was out for a duck.
