South African great Hashim Amla retires from all forms of cricket

South African great Hashim Amla has retired from all forms of the game. 

The 39-year-old, who won the 2022 County Championship with Surrey, informed the club that he won't be returning to defend the title. 

Amla, currently the batting coach of MI Cape Town in SA20, amassed 34,104 runs across all formats. He is also South Africa's second-highest run-scorer in Tests with 9282 runs, only behind the legendary Jacques Kallis(13,206 runs).
