South African all-rounder Chris Morris announces retirement from all forms of cricket

With an aim to coach the youngsters, South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Tuesday.

Morris made many eye-catching performances on the field, however, he became a household name in India when Proteas all-rounder was bought by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping Rs 16.25 crore in IPL 2021 auction.

The 34-year-old Proteas all-rounder took to the social media platform Instagram to announce his announcement.

In an Instagram post, Morris thanked all those people who played a part in his journey and termed his career as a fun ride.

He further added that he is delighted to take up a coaching job at Titans.

Morris represented South Africa in 69 international games and picked 96 wickets while scoring 773 runs across all formats.

The Proteas all-rounder has been a regular in the Indian Premier League and represented Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.
