Indian batter Shikhar Dhawan, known for his social media banter, playfully teased former teammate Cheteshwar Pujara in light of the upcoming Irani Trophy. Pujara, gearing up for the tournament, shared a video on Instagram showcasing his batting practice before Saurashtra's match against Rest of India.
In response, Dhawan humorously commented, “Bhai bas kar youngster ko bhi khelne de ab. Irani se Tere liye Naani Trophy ho gayi hai."
Pujara, who wasn't selected for the Indian squad in the West Indies tour, displayed remarkable form for Sussex in county cricket; he also scored a century recently against Somerset.
Having played 103 Tests, Pujara's last appearance for India was in the WTC Final against Australia at the Oval in June, where he scored a total of 41 runs during the team's loss.
