Expressing his gratitute for the Australian team for agreeing to touring Pakistan after 24 years, head coach Saqlain Mushtaq asked other cricketing nations to 'open their hearts'. Cricketing nations stopped touring Pakistan after a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009.

The whole Pakistan is with cricket and everyone wants the teams to come and play here. We welcome the whole world with open hearts, Mushtaq said.

Giving credit to the Pakistan cricket board, Mushtaq said, 'All the fans should thank the PCB, the Pakistan government for their untiring effort that the Australian team is coming. 'I want to thank Australia too that they are coming to Pakistan after 24 years, I am sure players and fans are also excited that they are going to witness a very good series, he added.

Pat-Cummins led Australian team who recently won the Ashes 4-0 are due to come to Pakistan after 24 years on 27th February for a 3 match Test series, 3 ODIs and a single T20I. They will first arrive in Rawalpindi where the first Test will take place from March 4th.
