Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who had earlier allowed left-arm pacer Jason Behrendorff to leave for the Mumbai Indians in a trade deal earlier, released four more players ahead of IPL 2023 mini-auction on December 23 in Kochi.
West Indian batting all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford was the only big name among the players released by the franchise.

With RCB retaining their overseas core of Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Josh Hazlewood & Wanindu Hasaranga among others, the Bangalore-based franchise has only two overseas slots to fill during the IPL 2023 mini-auction.
Faf du Plessis-led side will go into the auction with a purse of Rs 8.75 crore.
