A terrible accident and the following ligament tear would likely keep Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant out of action for at least three to six months.

Dr. Qamar Azam, one of the doctors who is attending Pant told the Times of India, 'Pant will take at least 3-6 months to recover from the ligament injury and if it's severe he may take more time.

India's ace Test player, Pant, in all likelihood will miss the Australia Test series that begins on February 9th.  The Delhi Capitals' captain might also miss the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League entirely.

Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) director Shyam Sharma also met Rishabh Pant in Dehradun and provided an update on the 25-year-old's health. 'Pant is being looked after well by doctors here. The BCCI is also in touch with them, taking updates on his condition. As of now, he will be kept here only', he said.
