According to reports, more than 30 companies are interested in buying teams in the Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) which will commence from March onwards.

Many companies have taken the 'Invitation To Tender' document that makes them eligible to buy teams for the inaugural event.

The BCCI also said that it would allow 5 foreign players in the playing XI with at least one cricketer from an Associate country allowed in the XI. This is a shift from the IPL rule where only 4 foreign players are allowed.
