Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan was all-praise for Indian fans and the grand welcome his team was afforded in Hyderabad on September 27.
Speaking after scoring a century in a warm-up match against New Zealand on September 29, Rizwan said, 'A hundred is a hundred, proud and happy of it. Scoring a century for Pakistan is always special. The Indian crowd gave us a lot of love at the airport itself, just like how our fans love us back in Pakistan. We were welcomed in India in a great way.'
Rizwan scored 103 off 94 before retiring hurt in the first innings.
Pakistan scored 345/5 but New Zealand chased down the mammoth total with 6 overs to spare.
The Indian neighbours arrived in Hyderabad on September 27 after 7 long years and were welcomed to loud cheers by fans who were waiting to greet them at the international airport.
