Fans are desperately anticipating an India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 final, the weather in Colombo might spoil the plans though.

After a 2-hour delay due to rain, the 50-over match has been curtailed to 45 overs per side. However, further rain hindrances might affect the result of the game.

Colombo weather forecast

Accuweather had predicted thunderstorms in Colombo around 4 PM. But the forecast looks good from 5 PM, with rain likely to stay away for a couple of hours.

Colombo might again witness another shower spell at 7 PM. The portal shows a lesser chance of rain from 8 to 10 PM but it might return at 11 PM.

What happens if Pakistan vs Sri Lanka is washed out?

A rain curtailed game is a possibility but if the rain spoils the day both teams are bound to share a point each.

This means both Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be locked at 3 points each. The Lankans, however, will go through to the final on the back of a better net run rate.
